What we do
Bistro Genie publishes independent, hands-on reviews of restaurant ordering and management systems. Owners face a confusing market — every vendor claims to be the cheapest, the easiest, and the most complete. Our job is to cut through that: sign up for the products, use them the way a real restaurant would, and report what we find.
How we cover them
- We test each product hands-on — real accounts, real orders, real hardware where relevant.
- We describe what each system is, what it costs, what it does well, and what to watch for.
- We don’t assign scores or crown a “winner” — the right fit depends on your restaurant.
- No vendor can pay to appear, to be described more favorably, or to be placed higher.

How we make money
Where a link to a vendor could earn us a referral fee, that never changes a score or a ranking, and we’ll note affiliate links where they appear. Our reviews are written first and monetized second — not the other way around.
Accuracy & corrections
Pricing and features in this market change constantly. We recheck listings periodically and date our reviews, but always confirm the current details on a vendor’s own site before buying.
